Yonah Streitfeld: One of the best hostels in Floripa! Really nice volunteers and a good location close to the beach, and the north/south. There are DJ parties sometimes, volleyball matches and different options for different prices but very affordable! Highly recommend :)

Jeevan Thiruchittampalam: Gross bathroom. Bug infested beds and staff members kept rubbing my shoulders weirdly, although some were nice. Overcrowded. Bunk beds are rock hard and uncomfortable. Have to walk along the highway to get to the beach (30 mins), although the beach is gorgeous. No market nearby

Sofía Caffa: I'm Uruguayan traveling around the island. I lived in this hostel for two months. What drew me to stay so long? It's a place where you feel part of a family from the moment you arrive, sharing experiences, moments, and knowledge that I'll take with me forever. For me, it was a home, surrounded by nature, tranquility, and good energy. The house is spacious and comfortable in every way: three bathrooms, a covered camping area and tents with mattresses, sunny and shady spaces for breakfast, reading, yoga (or whatever activity you want), a living/dining room illuminated by the sun during the day, a large, fully equipped kitchen, and one of the most beautiful things: a huge property where you can see the starry sky at night. You return to the places where you were happy. I will definitely return here. I am always grateful to the On Ocean family. Cheers! 🥂❤️

Matheus Silva: bom eu nem sei por onde começar. tive uma baita experiência e tanta no hostel on Ocean. lugar bastante acolhedor e receptivo aos seus novos passageiros e clientes. funcionários totalmente incríveis e local hospitaleiros desde o início ao fim. o que era uma viagem para mim poder me distrair e sair um pouco da rotina se tornou uma viagem onde fiz novas amizades com pessoas de outras partes do mundo, aprendi coisas novas e conseguir botar meu inglês e espanhol para trabalhar e melhorar em muitos aspectos. pessoas com o mesmo objetivo de vida. local acessivo a ponto de ônibus, restaurante e praias também com trilhas magníficas em Florianópolis. fico muito feliz e grato por ter vindo aqui e tido uma experiência magnífica no local também. o que fica é a saudade e um de quando voltar a Florianópolis concerteza irei vim ao Hostel on Ocean.

Victoria Pastorino: I volunteered at Hostel On Ocean for two months. It was my first experience, and I didn't know much about it. At the hostel, with the help of Samu and João, I was able to learn a lot about how to take care of the place. With the people who stayed at the hostel, I also learned how to live with people from different countries, with different languages and cultures. It was an incredible exchange! And not to mention the nights around the campfire with music and the trail to Morro das Aranhas. It was definitely an unforgettable experience where I left with many new acquaintances and made great friends. 🙌🫂🇺🇾🇧🇷 Highly recommended if you're looking for a unique experience surrounded by nature and good people, this place is for you.
