Adam B: Worthwhile to look around and learn about money and gold. One of their employees showed us around. She was so enthusiastic and showed us every room!
Simon G: Free admission and a large spacious museum with English signs make this a winner. This place is soaked in history, take the tine to visit while in Ouro Preto.
mark weeks: This is the largest and grandest building in town. It's history as a residence and mint is documented.. there are exhibits on coinage and the town's history. There are also spaces to show how the rooms may have looked in original use. The most poignant are the exhibition s in the basement which contain slave paraphernalia.
Victor Barcelos: The architecture is great. It is a museum like no other but I think it should have more digital features to make it more interesting.
