Flávio Dechen: Picking a new restaurant on Google Maps to try can be a lottery – yes, of course our reviews help but it's not bullet proof. So I chose Boxixo Carioca to go with my family. I ordered tilapia with steamed vegetables and french fries. The fish was superb! The fries were good but the steamed vegetables were bland at best. My family didn't comment on the food other than my girlfriend, who ordered breaded chicken and said it was very flavorful. We sat at a long table at the corner with long benches that were very uncomfortable. Our waitress was super friendly. Service though was OK – a couple of dishes went back to the kitchen, but who's to blame? Finally, I think the owner could spend a few bucks on the decorations and make the clients feel like they're in a Rio restaurant. I can't end this review without saying OMG was the restaurant expensive! The food was very good admittedly but so is the food at the restaurant next door.

JC Lyke: Great little place. I had peixe dinner to go with sides, which I ordered and I could see a lot of people there enjoying futebol on the screen having drinks, on a nice rainy fall evening. Food was very good, I'll be back.

Anja Gansel Leal: Typical Brazilian bar for a chilled Saturday afternoon (I’m sure all the other days are great to go as well)! The food is very tasty and there are several options to try typical Brazilian food, even tastier with a super cold chop.

Cezar Reggio: Extremely friendly staff, great finger food, option of draft beer or special ones like Nortenha or Quilmes. Great location to go with friends.
