Norm Norm: I visited Beco do Batman last weekend with two co-workers, and it was such a memorable experience. The entire alley is alive with color, energy, and creativity—every wall is covered in incredible street art that feels more like an open-air gallery than just graffiti. We spent a lot of time wandering, taking photos, and just admiring the constantly changing artwork. The vibe was relaxed and welcoming, with locals and visitors mingling, and plenty of small cafés and bars nearby to grab a drink afterward. It’s also easy to explore on foot, and you’ll find new details around every corner. If you’re in São Paulo, I’d absolutely recommend adding Beco do Batman to your list. It’s not just sightseeing—it’s an experience that captures the city’s artistic spirit in such a fun way.

It’s not big—just a few alleys—but every wall is alive with murals that change constantly. Some are loud and political, others just wild bursts of color. The art isn’t locked behind glass; it’s raw, textured, and right at your fingertips. It can get crowded, especially on weekends when photographers, tourists, and live painters all pack the space. But that’s part of the vibe—it feels more like a living, breathing gallery than a tourist stop. Go early in the morning if you want cleaner shots and fewer people. Good shoes help on the cobblestones.

Scott Moen: This was a pleasant surprise. This area was on our list of places to visit while in São Paulo but was low on our list. We finally visited on our last day as a “time killer” before the airport. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience. Fun neighborhood with great energy, fun art everywhere and good food options. We visited during the week and mid day. It was not busy and very comfortable. I would recommend it.

Marianne: Visited Beco do Batman around 10 AM, when most cafés were still closed. The alley was quiet and not crowded, which gave me the perfect chance to stroll around and really enjoy the street art without the usual hustle. Great time for photos and taking in the details.
