Patrick Feary: Honestly, this is very poor value for money. I don’t understand how the hotel has kept its 5 star rating, and I suspect the current state of it is why it no longer carries the Sofitel branding. Let me stress that the staff and their individual service were absolutely incredible - especially for our infant daughter. The provided crib was in great condition and restaurant staff went above and beyond for us. The location is lovely, with the beach at your doorstep and the beach staff ready to help at a moment’s notice. Important if you’re looking to vacation there midweek: the hotel also plays host to corporate bookings but does nothing to keep this separate to leisure guests. Most tables in the restaurant are taken up by small groups from the corporate bookings, with those guests milling around and blocking the buffet chatting. In your room you’ll hear music from their corporate parties continuing well past 22:00, and find their empty beer bottles and bottle caps are left around the grounds and pool each morning. My family was made to feel our special holiday was an inconvenience to someone’s team building retreat. Overall though, the condition of the property and inclusions are in no way a 5 star experience. We still had a nice time, but the condition of the facilities, single restaurant, and our stay feeling “second class” to the corporate booking certainly does not justify the high cost.

Julia Rodi: I had a wonderful honeymoon here! We paid for the luxury package and were treated to champagne, chocolate covered strawberries, roses in the room and breakfast in bed. The room was beautiful and comfortable with a gorgeous view of the beach. The staff was very kind and accommodating. The resort pool and beachfront access was amazing. The spa and couples massage was incredible. Finally, the food at the hotel restaurant was very good. I would highly recommend this hotel!

Bruno Alcantara: The hotel is comfortable and the food is great (in breakfast, lunch and dinner). Some things that are annoying is the fact that there is live music being played everywhere with speakers. In a close room, you can't use speakers or else it will be super loud. We didn't mind the music when it was played acoustic but there are some parts where they plug a speaker and everything became insufferable. A drink at the lobby at night to relax? Forget about it, there are speakers blasting at you. A nice dinner to have a good moment? Forget it. Laying down by the pool to enjoy day? No escaping from the loud noise, even if you are on the other side of the pool, there's no avoiding it, everybody will hear the games with the kids or adults even if not willing to participate. So, because of all of that, I would not recommed if you want to have a nice moment to relax and don't have kids. If you have kids, it's a good option because they will have a lot to do.

Ana Maciel: The hotel was very beautiful, the staff were very friendly and helpful, and the food was delicious. An idea that would greatly help future guests of this hotel would be to prepare a printed brochure with all the services offered during the stay.
