Adam: A very rewarding hike that took us about 2 hours. There are various stops along the route where you can wait for a boat to take you to a different point. We were the only ones on the hike trail and we barely didn't see anyone else the whole time It's important to bring plenty of water with you as there are a lot of steep inclines and rock climbing involved and you will struggle with dehydration on even a cool day. Insect repellent is also essential. You will need to wear suitable footwear that can grip as the stones can be slippery, particularly if it has rained. Flip flops will not be suitable. The restaurants are a long way away and it is hard to predict when boats will arrive. You may be advised to bring some snacks with you to keep your blood sugar levels up. As non experienced hikers but reasonably healthy people in our 30s, we were still very tired by the end of the hike and in need of food. But after getting to the end, the food and sit down felt like a nice reward for enduring the long hike.
Nathan Jones: It's a paved sidewalk between houses, then a muddy scramble up some boulders, then a glorified drainage ditch, then it disappears on top of the rocks into a mess of overgrown thorn bushes. 😂
Joyce Coelho: Excellent hiking, the trail is easy to follow. It's long but it's not difficult. You can stop to admire the view. At the end you can take the boat to return as well.
SEB WALKER: Lovely hike which takes around 2.5 hours from the centre of Lagoa. There are some great restaurants at the end. Take plenty of water as the hike is hard in the heat.
Kay van den Bosch: It was a very nice hike with some climbing and beautiful natural areas. We saw beautiful trees and plants, quite some monkeys climbing around and beautiful waterfalls and high bamboo parts. Took us less than 2 hours to complete including short breaks. Today it was only 15 degrees but still warm, best weather to do this in. Take water with you and some mosquito protection to make it better
