Eldar: If you are into history, then check this palace. The Cruz e Sousa Palace is home to the Santa Catarina Historical Museum. It has a neoclassical style and is named after the symbolist poet Cruz e Sousa. It is originally built to serve as the governor's residence. Construction began in the mid-18th century but faced numerous interruptions. It wasn't until the late 19th century that the palace was completed and officially became the seat of the state government. The palace stands as a reminder of the state's past, from its colonial roots to its modern identity.

JH Sun: It's a museum about the history of the state Santa Catarina, free entrance. It's pretty cool to visit, but there isn't too much information...nice to just stop by if you are in the center.

Don Moore: Beautiful building with excellent historical exhibits. I'm taking off one star as the second floor is not open to visitors. It can be seen from the bottom of the stairs and clearly the upstairs would be worth seeing. The staff here were friendly and helpful.

Adam C Dick: Amazing piece of cultural history. Brief, but very well-maintained and well worth the 5 BRL admission. Be sure to check out rooms upstairs with preserved wood floors!
