Pedro Zapfel: Gorgeous forest, well maintained, while partly slippery paths (nothing for the flip-flop type). Recommendation for ICMBio's management: why not educate visitors how to treat such a treasure, incl how to avoid noise? Putting up a sign may also help with your own staff that even blows the horn when driving thru the park!
Ricardo Serra: Beautiful rain forest reserve in one of the mountain ranges near Rio de Janeiro (Serra dos órgãos). In sunny weekends the park can limit the entrance of visitors in peak hours, so come early. Several hiking trails are available. There’s also a wonderful trekking from Teresópolis to Petrópolis that takes 3 days and requires a guide.
Nelson Toledo: Must-see destination for nature-lovers in the country. Plenty of hiking, trekking and climbing options. Amazing natural pools to be enjoyed in the summer.
Fabio Augustus: This park has a great structure with refuges, camping area, the trails are signalized. You will find a unique beauty with waterfalls, plants, animals and many trails. The Parnaso is located around of three cities Teresópolis, Petrópolis and Nova Friburgo. The tallest pick of park is Pedra do Sino ( Bell's Stone) altitude 2.263m above sea level and it is located in Teresópolis. The Parque Nacional da Serra dos Órgãos has trails of different difficulty levels, some what can duration 30 minutes until a duration of 2 days.
