George H: An excellent hostel for someone looking for abed to sleep in and nothing else. Very cramped rooms, with lockers too small to fit my 40L bag, and a dirty toilet. The staff were all as helpful as they could be, helping to return a jumper my companion misplaced, however they could he unattentive at time. The location is fantastic. Right in the city, close to the metro. During my stay, I had an early night and the room was empty, and I recieved a front row seat to a band playing for a bar right outside, it was excellent, and the location ensured I felt engrossed in the city.

C Milanesi: Good cheap hostel near the Centro of Rio. Perfect if you are traveling on a budget and/or need a convenient place to stay for a few days in Rio. Lots of food options around, including a bakery right under that sells outstanding food for around 10 reais. Towels are extra so bring your own if you can (generally a good idea for Brazil). The staff was great, very kind and had a happy vibe. The only downside and reason for 4 stars rather than 5 is that the air con is controlled centrally and only on between 10pm-7am. We were there towards the beginning of Autum so not as bad but the airflow on the second floor is very poor so it gets warm. Sleeping was never an issue tho because the air-con does turn on like clockwork. If you can request a room on the bottom floor, breezier.

Anna Banana: With a group of 28 people it was sometimes hard to accommodate all our needs. The breakfast was sometimes not enough and the showers were occupied at all times. However, the rooms were spacious and there were lockers available to store your valuable items. Having breakfast and drinking coffee at the balcony with a view over the busy cross-section was also a great addition to this hostel, and so was the very friendly and helpful staff. The location of the hostel was great in terms of being very close to the neighbourhood Lapa. For this and for the great staff I would recommend this hostel if you are planning on staying for a short period of time in Rio.

Erika Rodríguez: Worst place ever. Rooms and bathrooms completely dirty. We can’t even open the window to get some fresh air. Breakfast and air conditioning is not “allowed” because of covid restrictions but the cleaning is absolutely 0/10. Pictures are tricky so be careful. Neighbor super insecure. You can’t no walk around after 20hs.

Danielle Katchi: Staff; super friendly! No fault with them what so ever! 😊✌️ Rooms; ok, big! But no fan and air con only comes on between 11pm - 9am (supposedly!) This didn't happen on the 1st night .. extremely hot in room! Felt very sick! 😳 Rooms could be better, maybe not so dark colours in room, it makes it feel dated. Updating the rooms could be done. Showers; ment to be hot, I tried 3; only one was working, and that seemed a little dangerous as it's like a switch with exposed wires above shower head. I just didn't feel safe using it. Location; great! We just got Ubers everywhere as it's cheap! Overall, ok/good stay but needs to be updated.
