Marcus Freese: Do not stay here. In my 4 days staying here over new years, I found there to be frequent blackouts, water outages, poor cellular reception amongst other issues. The rooms were dirty, had rat poo on the floor when we first arrived. The staff treated our room like it was their own, opening the doors without knocking and entering the rooms without saying a word to us. There was big privacy concerns staying here alongside major cleanliness issues. All of the cupboards and drawers were broken and the shower only had a cold tap. Amongst all these issues, the biggest was the huge climb to the hostels entrance from Copacabana beach. Despite looking close on a map, Le House Hostel is a big uphill walk from the beach, with a constant stream of fast moving traffic up the single road to the hostel. I was almost run over a handful of times because of the poor location.

Ola Lindmo: Would recommend this if they bothered to keep the AC on. Having to ask every time you go to your room to switch it on gets really annoying, and they turn it off when you fall asleep. We also had to pay to switch to a "better" room because the ACU was broken in our first room.

Sergio Jaimes: The hostel cancelled my reservation without warning. They wanted to charge R$1500 for two nights on my credit card in advance, when I asked for information on why, they cancelled my reservation. They have zero respect for the guest, do not go to that place.

foobish: Worst place i have ever stayed st in my entire life. Ac breaks down every other second. And do not expect any service or niceness of the guy. Im not the only person either. Im sitting at 4.30 now out of my room because of a broken ac. I went to a different room with many empty beds with a working ac and the reception guy came in and started screaming(!) while people were waking up from him. Now Im sitting somewhere else having given up sleep entirely in the hostel. I really feel like the worst experience.

Anne-Pauline NGBANZO MAPUMBA: All comments must be false because it looks like a homeless shelter. Except homeless shelters are free… Cold welcome. Dirty rooms. Have to make your own bed. I left as soon as I arrived as I saw a bedbug crawling on the filthy mattress. I got refunded without any questioning.
