Andy Watts: The market and the surrounding area is a huge labyrinth of busy streets selling everything you can think of. Keep your phones and wallets in a zipped up pocket and then walk up and down the streets to find that knock-off Brazilian football shirt that you wanted and haggle to buy it for BRL 50. There were relatively few places to eat though.

S “Suey” K: This is actually a great place that’s like a bazaar/maze type of area where they sell lots of stuff like bags glasses cheap clothes and swimwear etc. lots of electronics as well was displayed and I’m sure they can fix your phone there too. Just be careful and street smart as there’s hardly any tourists there and it’s more for the Brazilians. I’m sure you can haggle prices too because they gave me quite expensive price suggestions. It’s about a 20-25 minute motorcycle ride from copacabana

Chow: Very interesting and happening on Friday evening where locals gather for affordable drinks in small stalls pub among clothe stalls.
