Hannah Walker: Favourite place we saw Samba in Rio - energy was amazing. It’s packed and sweaty, but the music is incredible and everyone’s dancing such a good vibe.

Anderson Pequeno: That's other good place to enjoy the Samba music. There you can find local people enjoying live music, dancing and having drinks. It's a safe place around the Lapa neighborhood. Usually live music only at night, look at their schedule.

Mohamed Omar: This place is the real ethos of Samba. It was one of the best Samba nights in my life, but i know it is not for everyone! Great roda de Samba, super energy, rehearsal and improvisations, a mix of old and new songs mostly left aligned.The crowd is diverse and inclusive. Old and young people, poor and rich, all races and sexual orientations are welcomed. That being said, it gets super crowded and hot. It is also a dive bar , so the floor is not shining, the food is not refined and the bathrooms are basic. Also, some people who work there have attitude. If you don't mind the above and you look for authentic, local Samba experience, embrace the experience and dive head first!

Ella Violetta: Stumbled across this place on my first night in Rio and I was so moved by the spirit of the people here. It's super packed and sweaty but the music is AMAZING, everyone's dancing, it's absolutely magical. Dont miss out on this place! But definitely buy your beer before you go into the crowd
