Brianne Fischer: This bar / restaurant/ music venue is everything you need and more for a corner shop. We stayed nearby and routinely visited Bar do Serginho during our stay in Santa Teresa. The breakfast pasties were the best we had in Rio. The staff are welcoming and helpful. The area is safe and just a short walk to the *TOP* of the tourist Stairs (meaning you walk down them which was a much better experience thank walking up). If you’re lucky enough to catch a performance, you will not be disappointed. We caught two during our stay. The views of Sugarloaf across the street are also lovely. Thank you to Paulo and Moses for hospitality. We wish to return.

Juan Novella: This place has a very local Sant Teresa vibe, and that’s what makes it special. It’s not trying to impress tourist. It’s simple, they have an affordable wine selection, simple pizzas, cheeses, meats and bread for an easy night out that sometimes include slice music and lots of local character.

Ninorta Chabo: Where to start? If I could give 10 stars, I would. 5/5 for sure. Bar do Serginho is absolutely amazing. It's tiny but don't get fooled by that, they have everything from the right vibe, good breakfast, fantastic pizza, drinks, fresh fruit and good service. Super patient and kind while we used google translate to communicate. Best prices compared to any place I've ate at in Rio! They do live music on Fridays at their place across the street which I recommend you attending, also a fantastic vibe. They sell some art and their own merchandise, we bought 2 tshirts to remember this place by. Guys, open this place in London please, I'll be there every day 🙏🏻🤝🏻 thank you

Thomas Sonnenschein: The place is great to go to on monday evening at 17h30 to listen to great musicians playing choro. The food is average and the service level varies highly on the waiter and the day. Read some reviews of people saying the view is great. The bar itself does not have any view except to the street in front. But next to the bar you indeed have some great views.

Carlos Santos: Overrated. The live music events on Mondays are cool but the service is way below average. The police is ALWAYS there because is a popular spot for local thieves. The food was ok, I guess. Santa Teresa has a lot more to offer tbh.
