Jan Pol Tarruell: One of the worst hostels I’ve ever stayed. For the photos and the first impression you think it’s gonna be fine, but there are many things that are not. The rooms are supercrowded, with bunk beds of 3 layers, no windows and no space at all. Not comfortable. The air conditioner is on the whole night and it gets really cold. At least they give you proper blankets. It doesn’t have any sence that Hostelworld rewards them for having sustaniability practices but then they have air conditioned the whole night when it’s completely unnecessary. There’s a big common area which could have a lot of potential, but it’s just full of tables. There’s no space at all to chill out, just a sofa in the reception. The music is on later than 12 at night and before 8 in the morning, and the reception is open 24/7, so if you sleep in the rooms close to it, you hear noise all the time. Not a good experience. Luckily the staff and volunteers that work there are quite nice. But, I wouldn’t recommend it at all. Don’t go there.

Erika Rodríguez: I found a real home in this hostel. Ivan and Bruna are incredible people, always willing to help you with anything you need. The staff make this place even nicer and friendly. 5 min from Lapa, you are going to be close to the party heart in this city. The neighbor will give you a real Carioca experience, we always got a cigarette on the doorstep and never happened to us. People are respectful. I super recommend this place.
