John Lattke: My family and I have been visiting this park for over 5 years now because of its peacefulness, safety (a police station is present), facilities (no bathrooms though), and abundant vegetation. It is a great place for immersion in a forest, even if it is small, and for observing insects and birds. The recent infrastructural improvements and well-publicized re-inauguration by the municipality did bring with it a noticeable increase in the amount of visitors. It is great to see this greater appreciation for the park, but it also brings new challenges and problems. Most visitors enjoy the park and respect other users, but I have noticed a greater amount of rubbish. Some visitors also bring with them their companion animals, especially dogs. I have noticed more dog feces now than previously. Another novelty, perhaps related to the increased presence of dogs, is the presence of ticks. This year we have all come back with tick bites after visiting the park. Some visitors, fortunately few, even insist on imposing their sound pollution with the use of portable speakers. Even though there is a road bordering the park, and the traffic is audible, why double down on the sound pollution? We can all enjoy the park, but let's not forget we are not alone.
