Jure Figar: Quite cute museum to see a bit of Egyptian history with mainly replica of Egyptian items... Although there are a few mummies. The tickets are 10 rs, well worth the visit. There's also an outdoor exhibition.
Michael Rydberg: Quite surprised to find an Egyptian museum with a real mummy in Brazil. Very interesting and beautiful place. Signs only in Portuguese though.
M Black: Interesting "museum" with mostly replicas of Egyptian itens and pieces, there is two real mummies, both in great shape. The entry fee its 10 reais, was worth the visit. There are some external images as well
Jon McKinney: Great museum with authentic replicas, if that makes sense. Well worth the time. And then visit the nearby park.
GB: Wow. Very surprised to see such high reviews. With the exception of 2 real mummies, everything else is replicas. Nothing in English. So while this place is ok for kids to get an idea of what life in Egypt was like, it doesn’t remotely compare to a real museum with authentic pieces. It’s also quite small.
