Lévana C: We spent one night in the private room, and I had a great stay here! Top-notch welcome, particularly helpful staff, clean premises, good location for getting around town: overall very good value for money! :) Highly recommend it! However, just note that you can hear noises/ loud voices from the street or the corridor (it was a week end & the room is at the entrance of the hostel)

Devorah K: 10 reasons this hostel deserves all the 5 star ratings, I'd say 10 stars if I could! Don't think twice, book here, thank me later. Perfect location, best hosts, super super clean, excellent quality at a very good price, washer/dryer (YES!), really well equipped kitchen (blender, air fryer, all the usual) great showers, comfortable beds with plugs and your own individual fan, privacy curtains, huge security lockers, 24 hour access, beautiful mountain view, details and super tips for tourist attractions on a budget, etc. Also I had so much fun with the other guests here. I actually visited 2 other hostels where a friend worked, slightly higher prices but not nearly as nice as History Hostel. By far the very best place in town. Ah, and Ouro Preto is a must visit if you're near Rio or São Paulo. Just go!!

Noam Pash: Hello, I would like to recommend history hostel in Ouro Preto. The cleanest, cozy, calm hostel, with a TV downstairs, a fully equipped kitchen, and two very, very nice and kind guys. And also cheap (I paid 50 riyals per night and had my own room in a new hostel...)

Dan Austin: Beautiful and clean. WiFi is superb and cooking area too. Hudson is amazing, always cleaning and very helpful. I loved it so much I came back for one more day!

Christopher Plog: Super clean, comfortable and gorgeous Hostel in an historic building. The staff is super friendly and helpful with everything. They drove me to the hospital after I hurt my hand in a waterfall
