Tatiana Morris: This place is amazing. The museum part is well cared for, displaying lots of carnaval's history, the outfits worn by famous people and the best of the best performances. The rooftop not only serves delicious coffee, they also serve food. We had the bobó de camarão. It was amazing! The staff is super friendly.

Thato Lengana: The museum is really well kept and in great condition. The video clips are informative and are offered in English as well which is useful if you can't understand Portuguese. Because the videos are long, it would be good if they had benches so people can sit and watch, we ended sitting on the floor. Also, the music in the museum is too loud considering you have to listen to a video. My data wasn’t working well inside and there was no wifi, which can be fixed. The sound on some of the videos would drop here and there, not sure if it is because of the data connection.

Randall Rodricks: Interesting museum about the Carnaval in Salvador. Lovely display of carnaval costumes, figurines, pictures and masks. There’s a nice little restaurant on the terrace with a view of Pelourinho and baía de todos os santos.

Shirell B.: A must see while in Bahia. You’ll get a great history of Carnaval in a visually beautiful, interactive museum. Once you are done, you can go to the rooftop restaurant and enjoy views of the city below.

Cristiana Frincu: Although according to the schedule it was open, when we arrived the museum was closed for a long time already. Don’t really know when it’s open and how it is run. Seems like a scam
