It does not matter if you are seasoned capoeirista or you just started your life journey with Capoeira - Associação de Capoeira Mestre Bimba (ACMB Academy) located on Pelourinho is a must and #1 place to visit. Professionalism and attention to the details during classes (aulas) to each person participating is excellent. You can always try to join the classes which are running on a daily basis except Sundays or you can just sit aside and observe when others receive massive doses of knowledge, physical challenge and history of Capoeira taught by Mestres, C. Mestres and Professores. Well recommended because that class and atmosphere you will remember through the rest of your life. Salve !!
Lavinia Johnson: I had an amazing dance workshop (samba de roda) with Yasmin who was extremely professional. The class was very complete and included explanations on the history, the meaning and the technique of all the different variations we learned in an hour. Yasmin was very accommodating with the last minute request for a class. Many thanks for the generous and fun sharing. Would definitely come back to learn from her and this historical association next time I come to Salvador da Bahia!
