Marlene Colombo Baeza: Best experience so far: food and drinks are out of this world!! The environment gives you a lot of joy and makes you feel thirsty for more Caipirinhas!! The service is amazing!! Definitely if I come back to Salvador I’ll comeback here, guys!! Thank you so so much for such a tremendous experience, team!

Yee Heng Wong: The fried bolinhos with meat and cheese were super tasty—crispy on the outside and full of flavor. The octopus and shrimp with black rice was honestly amazing—rich flavor and both the octopus and shrimp were perfectly cooked. Portions are huge, so definitely ask your server for assistance when ordering. Service was excellent, even with the language barrier. Just a heads-up—the chili is really spicy (at least for me), so go easy if you’re not used to heat!

Kevin Moraes: We were walking around rio vermelho and found Boteco. The outside art is breathtaking, which was done by Bel Borba. Highly recommend going early to sit outside in the alleyway. We saw a lot of people getting the octopus and black rice, and it did not disappoint. Get the “baby size” because this was the perfect size for two people. The regular size can feed 3-5. Overall, probably the best food in rio vermelho. The only downside would be the staff were a bit chaotic trying to get bills. I think the machine went down and it started to rain so looking to find seats for people sitting outside.

J. Lg: A very well run restaurant with quality food and friendly servers. The restaurant is very busy and is well run. The kitchen is clean and the chef and kitchen staff are exemplary. I came for the octopus and shrimp rice!
