Itamar Donitza: An amazing place to visit for birding near boa nova. The garden itself is stunning with various feeders for hummingbirds, antbirds, parrots and tanagers. Other than that the garden in located in the middle of quality caatinga habitat so the trails around are great for many specialeties as well. Need to arrange arrival in advance.

Emily Zamora: While the price of entry is what I would consider to be expensive, it is worth it if you stay the whole day. The attention to detail and the flower choices are delicately chosen, and even help conserve some of the less common hummingbirds. In fact, they help all of the hummingbirds maintain both a natural source from flowers, as well as from the feeders. There were many other great unexpected birds, and the work put into the place was apparent. Coffee and water and bathroom facilities also helpful! I had a very fruitful experience.

Luiz Di Bella: I just came back from a 1 day visit with my wife to Lajedo dos Beija-flores, in Boa Nova, Bahia. We had a wonderful time at this astonishing place. Ester did an amazing job creating this marvellous garden that attracts many different species of birds and a high variety of hummingbirds including the gorgeous Chrysolampis mosquitus, Beija-flor-vermelho (Ruby-topaz Hummingbird). I strongly recommend this place for photographers and bird lovers.

Lev Frid: One of the best hummingbird setups I’ve been to as a guide, and you can’t forget the marvellous views of three species of antshrikes, and of course the famous Slender Antbird at arms-length! A game changing birding location in Boa Nova. All the Ruby-Topaz Hummingbirds you could ever want!
